Zebra
R-140 RFID Label Printer/Encoder
|
|
| |
|
Zebra's innovative R-140 can read, write and
print labels carrying embedded ultra-thin RFID transponders.
Transponders contain integrated circuits that can
be read, programmed and re-programmed using non-contact
radio waves. This revolutionary technology enables
you to change
and update data repeatedly throughout the life of
the RFID "smart" label. Because RFID technology
utilizes radio waves, smart labels can be read through
dirt, paint, and many non-metallic objects. RFID
smart labels feature anti-collision technology,
which allows you to scan and identify several objects
simultaneously such as totes of supplies. The R-140
is ideal for warehouse/logistics, express parcel
delivery, airline baggage tracking, returnable plastic
containers/pallets, library book/video check-out,
sensitive document tracking, supply chain management
(source tagging), ticketing (sports, concerts, ski
lifts, etc.), anti-counterfeiting and pharmaceutical
applications.

ZebraLink
for Connectivity and Control:
Now available with the ZebraLink solution, R-140
printers provide real-time, remote error notification
and web-based printer management when equipped
with a ZebraNet Print Server II. The ZebraLink
solution also includes ZBI, a complementary programming
language allowing users to easily upgrade to Zebra
printers without costly reprogramming language
specific data sources or create a stand-alone
application which integrates peripheral devices
to Zebra printers without a PC.

Bi-Fold
Door
Many Zebra printers offer
the option of installing a bi-fold door. The bi-fold
door is hinged to allow ease-of-use
when space is limited. The arch of the opening bi-fold
door is greatly reduced allowing your Zebra printer
to be placed in smaller spaces. The door protects supplies
from dust or contaminants, requires less overhead space,
and has the ability to set printers side by side.

Cutters & Catchtrays
A popular option for Zebra printers is the
cutter. A cutter, as its name suggests, is a rotating
knife with a self-sharpening blade.
The
cutters and catch trays stretch the capabilities of
your Zebra bar code printer. The useful catch tray option
allows for label stacking so labels can be applied later
saving time and improving productivity. Whether you
are using labels or tag stock the durable cutter is
up to the test.

Fan Fold Supply Bin
Several Zebra printers are equipped with fan
fold media slots positioned on the bottom and/or in
the back of housing of the printer. The fan fold supply
bin is an accessory you can't go without when printing
on fan fold media--whether it's tags or labels.
With
the fan fold supply bin positioned in the back of the
printer, the media is stacked in a neat and organized
fashion allowing it to be fed through the fan fold slot
on the printer. You no longer have to worry about cubersome
stacks of media and the possibility of the media becoming
tangled and jammed in the printer creating unnecessary
downtime.

Memory Cards (PCMCIA)
PCMCIA Flash memory cards are a convenient
method to store label formats, large graphics files,
and fonts.
Zebra's
easy-to-install PCMCIA cards offer more Flash memory
for storing large formats, graphics and fonts. This
flexible Flash memory solution is transferable between
printers with an internal PCMCIA slot, requiring no
direct Flash download. A Memory Card is an installable
memory option on certain Zebra printer models that serves
as a printer memory upgrade. It functions much like
Flash memory in that it provides the ability to store
labels formats, graphics, and fonts in the printer for
easy access, which, in turn, increases printer throughput
as the printer's processor is less taxed. It is also
small, light, and portable, enabling one to move the
card from one printer to another.
